SeekVera is an online website-discovery and comparison service. For the personal information described in this notice, SeekVera acts as the data controller unless stated otherwise.

This notice applies when you visit or use the SeekVera public beta, contact us or interact with our website and related services. SeekVera Plus, accounts and alerts are planned features and are not currently available through the website.

Third-party websites linked from SeekVera have their own privacy notices. We are not responsible for how those independent organisations process personal information.

Depending on how you use the public beta, we may collect:

• Identity and contact information, such as your name and email address when you contact us;
• Search and usage information, including searches, selected results and feature interactions;
• Communications, including support requests, feedback and correspondence; and
• Technical and security information, such as device, browser, approximate location derived from IP address, logs and security events.

The current public beta does not request payment card information. Do not enter payment details or other sensitive information into a search or support message.

We collect information directly from you, automatically when you use the Service, from publicly available sources used to evaluate websites, and from service providers involved in delivering the Service—for example, confirmation from a payment provider that a subscription payment succeeded or failed.

Search fields are not intended for sensitive personal information. Please do not enter health information, financial account details, passwords, identity-document numbers or other special-category or highly confidential information into a search.

We process personal information only where we have a lawful basis:

• Contract: where processing is necessary to provide a feature you request;
• Legitimate interests: to secure, maintain, troubleshoot and improve the Service, prevent fraud and manage essential business operations, where those interests are not overridden by your rights;
• Consent: for optional marketing or nonessential cookies where consent is required; and
• Legal obligation: to comply with tax, accounting, regulatory, law enforcement or other legal requirements.

We may use personal information to provide and improve results, answer enquiries, secure the Service, prevent misuse and comply with law.

We do not sell personal information. We do not use personal information for unrelated purposes without identifying an appropriate lawful basis and providing any notice required by law.

SeekVera is not intended to knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Anyone under 18 should use the Service with the involvement of a parent, guardian or responsible adult where appropriate. Contact us if you believe a child has provided personal information improperly.

SeekVera may use automated signals to rank and recommend websites based on relevance, source type, authority and practical value. These recommendations assist discovery and comparison; they do not produce legal or similarly significant effects about an individual.

You may contact us if you have questions about a recommendation or believe personal information has been used incorrectly.

If SeekVera is reorganised, sold or transferred, relevant personal information may be disclosed to professional advisers and a prospective or actual successor where permitted by law. Any successor must use the information consistently with applicable data-protection requirements.
